Megan Fox, best known for her appearances in films such as Jennifer's Body, has announced the release date of her upcoming book, 'Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,' a collection of over 70 poems that will be available on November 7.

"These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," Fox, 37, said in a statement. My body aches from carrying the weight of men's transgressions; I've spent my entire life guarding their secrets."

"My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to reclaim their happiness and identity by using their voice to illuminate what has been buried, but not forgotten," Fox added.

The publisher, Simon & Schuster, praises the book as a "powerful debut" and emphasizes the poems' "heartbreaking and dark" nature. Fox's particular sense of humour is also shown in the collection.

Fox has faced obstacles in pursuing her acting profession, frequently feeling misunderstood and encountering misogyny in the entertainment industry. In an interview with InStyle, she revealed that she had to cultivate a self-reliant mindset in order to face rejection and criticism. "I decided to prioritize self-care because I knew I'd always be an outsider," she added.

Fox's life has changed dramatically, including her divorce from ex-husband Brian Austin Green in 2020 after a 16-year marriage and her current engagement to Machine Gun Kelly.
